About Me

Diafarou: I was born in Mala–kirtachi in Niger republic. Having obtained my A-level certificate in mathematics and technics in 1995, I was admitted to Ahmadu Bello University (A.B.U), Zaria in Nigeria to study water resources and environmental engineering. After completing my first degree in 2003, I came back to Niger to serve the government as NYSC (National Youth service Corps) where I worked on a project of water supply and sanitation as an assistant controller. In 2004 , I got a scholarship to International Institute for water and Environmental Engineering (2iE), in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso where I obtained a Professional Masters(D.E.S.S.) in applied computer in water science .After my studies, I worked at the institute as an assistant researcher in the field of information systems where I was involved in the establishment of online database of water science softwares http://www.arid-afrique.org/ ).This work is in collaboration with an organization named Regional Association of Irrigation and Drainage (ARID). From now I have a Master of Science in municipal water and infrastructure specialist in sanitary engineering at UNESCO-IHE institute for water education Delft, Netherlands.
